LGBTI Terms of Reference: Rapid Response Team

The purpose of the Rapid Response Team is to urgently attend to the pending and reported cases in the criminal justice system where hate crimes have been committed against LGBTI persons.

This Act amends the Criminal Law (Sexual Offences and Related Matters) Amendment Act of 2007, with particular reference to children of certain ages engaging in consensual sexual acts with each other; to procedures related to the National Register for Sex Offenders; and also to provide for the expungement of the criminal records of certain persons.
